Our Guide to Resetting the Hormann Supramatic Series 2 Operator

  1. First, set the door to work automatically, and ensure that the emergency release is not engaged

  2. Hold down the unit’s PRG button, while turning on the mains power supply. Continue holding down the PRG button, until the screen displays the letter ‘C’

  3. Release the PRG button. The screen should show the letter J, before changing to display the number 0, which should be flashing slowly

  4. If the operator is already connected to a ‘sectional type door’, then you can proceed straight to step 8. If not, you will need to continue onto the next step

  5. Using the arrows on the device, change the 0 to 1. This will change the selected mode to ‘up and over mode’

  6. Check that the unit is set to the correct mode. You can do this by once again holding down the PRG button until the display changes. If the screen features the letter J, before showing a slowly flashing 1, then the mode has changed successfully and you can release the PRG button

  7. To set the unit to ‘learn mode’, hold down the PRG button once again, until the number on the display changes from ‘1’ to ‘1.’ (with an added fullstop, after the 1)

  8. Release the PRG button. If an L appears on the screen, then you have successfully set the unit to learn mode

  9. Press the upwards arrow on the device. When you do so, the garage door should open fully, before stopping at the top

  10. Press the downwards arrow on the device. When you do so, the garage door should close fully, before re-opening fully

  11. Finally, press the downwards arrow on the device. This should cause the door to close fully, before automatically returning to the fully open position. Then, it should automatically fully close and fully open a second time

  12. If successfully reset, there should be a single red line showing on the screen. This tells you that the door is set in the open position, and that the operator has been reset.
